About Clare’s Cakery
I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease in 2006 after many months of feeling unwell. I was quite shocked at first but also very relieved that my condition could be treated with a simple diet change. As my Mum also has Coeliac Disease I had a good idea which foods to look out for and what to avoid. This is why I set up Clare’s Cakery.
I have always been a keen cook and now make most of our meals from scratch using delicious alternatives to foods such as bread, pasta, flour and oats.
Over the past four years I have tried many ideas for gluten free cakes (many of which have been disastrous!) and I now have a range of recipes that are both delicious and gluten free and have been tested by friends and family and perfected over time.
The philosophy behind our company is simple. We make delicious cakes and goodies that can be enjoyed by all but that happen to be gluten free – meaning that cake starved Coeliacs need no longer be disappointed!
We don’t use nasty additives to preserve our products and always choose ingredients that are naturally gluten free. We try to use produce in season wherever possible and only ever use free range eggs in our recipes. Our kitchens are not used to prepare or cook any food that contains gluten so there is no risk of cross contamination.
